VACATING YOUR RENTAL UNIT CHECKLIST:
TO ENSURE FULL RETURN OF YOUR DAMAGE DEPOSIT PLEASE FOLLOW BELOW:

Bathrooms
Walls and Ceilings
Light Fixtures
Light fixtures need to be in the same shape as when you moved in, clean and intact
Make sure no light bulbs are missing or burnt out
Windows and Blinds
Baseboards and Frames
Floors
Sweep, vacuum and wash – carpeted areas will be professionally shampooed arranged by the property manager. DO NOT SHAMPOO CARPETS
Remove all of your belongings from the rental premises
Yards, Driveways and Walkways
If you have been responsible for shoveling or mowing the lawn, these things should be done just before you leave the premises
Upon Move out
It is your responsibility to contact utility providers to cancel your accounts or move them.
Ensure that you have taken all necessary utility meter readings and phone in to utility providers to obtain your last bills. Your damage deposit will not be paid back until we have confirmation that final bills (hydro, water – if applicable) have been paid for.
Lastly,
Contact us for your final move out inspection. We will walk through the property with you and ensure that everything is taken care of!
